Storage and follow-up
Come back here any time, even years after retrieval. This checklist keeps your stored eggs under your control.
Storage checklist
- Storage fees: what you pay each year, how you are billed and what happens if a payment is missed.
- Renewal dates: when your storage period and consent need renewing.
- Consent: what you agreed for storage, use, and what happens in a change of circumstances.
- Contact details: keep your address, phone and email current with the clinic so renewal reminders reach you.
- Transferring eggs: what another clinic would need, and the costs and timing of moving them.
- Storage rules differ by country. Check the current rules for where your eggs are stored with your clinic or the national regulator.

Questions to bring to your clinic
Questions people ask
General education from the MYOS patient guide. Every answer is in clinical review and not yet approved by a clinic. Your clinic's own instructions come first.
How long can I store my eggs?
Storage periods, renewals and consent rules depend on the jurisdiction and your clinic agreement. Ask about deadlines, annual charges, contact updates and what happens if you move or cannot be reached.

Do eggs lose quality while stored?
Age at freezing is a major predictor of outcomes. Evidence about very long storage is limited. Ask your clinic about its experience with your freezing method and how it monitors and documents storage.
